Savannah Combs, 23, was overjoyed to learn that she was expecting twins. She then saw another oddity: they were both Down syndrome sufferers.
Naturally, the news was unsettling. Savannah and Justin Ackerman were aware that certain people would make assumptions about them and their children due to their circumstances.
Savannah still has a great opinion of them because of this.
“They’ve been my little gems, but they have something very rare,” she said to News4JAX.
Savannah, a Middleburg, Florida woman, shot to stardom immediately after posting videos of her postpartum journey on TikTok with her kids, McKenli Ackerman and Kennadi Rue.
Savannah stated in a video that she was informed she should terminate her children because they wouldn’t make it.
She decided to keep them and try them.
“Every [prenatal] appointment I had while they were still alive was a blessing,” Savannah said to me.
When she found out they both had Down syndrome, her spouse had already departed for boot camp.

Savannah asserted that they are just like other children despite having a rare illness.
They are emotional. Their heart is still beating. They may converse with each other. They can perform the same duties that you can. She assured me they will arrive.
“They may fall behind, but they will succeed, as I have stated. I find these kids to be happy, energetic little beings.
