Susan Boyle Performs Iconic Les Miserables Song, Giving Audience And Judges Goosebumps

In her most recent performance, Scottish singer Susan Boyle—a global sensation—not only returns to America’s Got Talent but also to the tune that kickstarted her career.

In this sneak look from America’s Got Talent: The Champions, Susan enters the stage after getting the Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell for her performance of the Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses.”

I’ve loved to sing since I was a small child, the 47-year-old singer declares in the video’s opening. She has used music to help her get through some challenging times in her life. Susna had always been pushed by her mother to follow her dreams, but it wasn’t until her mother passed away that she made the decision to do so.

“Everyone has dreams, and you should pursue them. I think I’ve been given that opportunity,” she claims. She has sold over 20 million records, so she most definitely has. And this song, “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables, is where it all started. With trees in the background and musicians veiled in fog and silver light, she is wearing a stunning sequin dress against a spooky scene.

After she completes her act, both the judges and the audience are standing.

Mel B assures her that she would push the Golden Buzzer for Susan once more if she had another one. Simon admits he wasn’t too nice to her on the first day but that she has now become the definition of a champion and says he has “goosebumps on his goosebumps” as he continues to describe how her performance brings him back.

In the video below, you can hear her “encore” of the song that made her famous.
