The Montessori preschool instructor said the experience helped her recognize how much she had changed over the past year. She asserted that she is no longer reliant on the approval of others. She still has periodic issues with body image, but she focuses mostly on how she feels about her body.
“I don’t rely on other people’s approval,” she wrote. In addition, I don’t care what people think of my body. I am too busy living my best life and making a concerted effort to embrace myself for who I am, flaws and all, to care about what other people may think or say.
Adan’s 118,000 followers were impacted by her new perspective.
“This picture of you is stunning! You are the epitome of self-love, which we should all strive for! “Here I am, world, strong & full of love & inspiring us,” one person commented.
“Those that criticize others for their appearance are simply insecure individuals, and you are a true inspiration! “You look amazing and stunning!” said someone else.
“I can now say that I have dedicated the past year to my journey of self-love,” Adan remarked. “And being in this stage of life where I can go about in a bathing suit and truly feel happy and confident without worrying about what other people think or say is a true transformation for me.”
