For the famed vocalist Jennifer Lopez, so far this year has been one to forget. Not only did she declare last month that she and Ben Affleck had filed for divorce, but their marriage also ended in 2024. She also canceled her planned tour of North America before it started.
However, some fans have already proclaimed her to be this year’s worst dressed attendee of the Toronto Film Festival, so the bad news doesn’t stop there. A-list celebs were everywhere at last week’s awards presentation.
JLo was one of them; she is probably going through a tough period in her life right now. The 55-year-old planned to dazzle everyone in her way as she walked the red carpet for the event, dressing like a disco ball.
She was certainly stunning, but not everyone appeared to be taken over by her eye-catching attire.
The On the Floor singer’s metallic Tamara Ralph ensemble caught my attention, but not many people were remarking on it online. On the other hand, following the glistening performance that showcased both sides of her body and was tied with black velvet bows, many people believed that Lopez had been demoted to the position of “worst dressed.”
Co-writer of the movie Unstoppable with Ben Affleck, Lopez saw the premiere of the movie at the Toronto Film Festival. It was assumed that Affleck would not be attending the event given everything that has been going on lately between him and Lopez. He allegedly had other obligations at work.
Lopez has never run from the limelight, but even in the disco ball outfit, she made an impression. As soon as she walked the red carpet, the internet was inundated with comments, and not all of them were kind.
An very harsh user said, “[Definitely] a worst dressed winner.”
Another said, “It’s really ridiculous, I feel like she had no class with that dress.”
“Desperate times call for tacky dresses,” a third person said.
“She needs to take revenge on her stylist,” said a fourth person.
“This outfit was terribly out of place for the kind of movie that was having its premiere. This wasn’t it, a different user commented.
“Although I respect her drive and physical condition, I don’t think this is appropriate clothing for a mother.” I’m not a fan of this ensemble. It is colorless. Additionally, how can someone move and walk while wearing that [?]?” said a Facebook user.
As previously mentioned, Lopez filed for divorce a few weeks ago, putting an end to months of speculation about the breakdown of her and Affleck’s marriage. It appeared like a fairytale ending for their romance when the well-known couple was married in an unplanned Las Vegas wedding back in 2022, but it had been obvious for some time that something wasn’t right.
Both parties have been sighted outside of their wedding rings throughout the year, and there have been allegations that Affleck has moved out of their marital home in Beverly Hills. Lopez decided to spend more time with her family, therefore she canceled her planned tour of North America in the meantime.
