This GIrl Left Her Family at 14 to Pursue Music in Another Country — Now She’s World-Famous with Guinness Records

The mother of this young child was born into a large family of Albanian origin. Her parents moved to London three years before she was born, from Albania. She grew up in London for a significant amount of her early years.

But when she was eleven, her parents told her that they were leaving London. Instead, they were going back to where they came from. As the girl’s primary school came to an end, all of her pals were going to different schools, but none of them were going overseas.

Despite the significant upheaval, the girl was excited to join her relatives in Kosovo. Three years later, at the age of 14, she did let her parents know that she no longer wanted to live there. She set multiple Guinness World Records after moving.

The Girl’s Early Years

The daughter was of Bosnian descent, but her father was Kosovan. In the 1990s, her parents experienced a conflict in their home country. Her mother and father lived with her paternal granddad, who was the director of the Kosovo Institute of History.

The daughter’s grandfather was pleased with his job, but it ended with the outbreak of war. She disclosed:

After the Serbians seized power in the area, several historians were pressured to change the history of Kosovo. To put it right, Kosovo was always a part of Serbia and never a part of Yugoslavia. My grandfather also lost his job as a result of his refusal to write a history that he did not believe to be true. He belonged to the group of guys who never did.

In 1992, the girl’s parents moved to London after leaving Albania during the conflict. However, their parents stayed in Bosnia and Kosovo. The girl’s father passed away from a heart attack the year the war ended, so he was never able to say farewell to his father. The borders remained closed. Amid all the heartache they had experienced, the couple moved their daughter to northwest London in 1995.

The youngster stated that she had spent her entire childhood watching her parents at work. Her father wanted to become a dentist, and her mother wanted to become a lawyer, when they were forced to from their home country. Because they were in London, they had little choice but to work at bars and cafés. They went back to school too.

Even though the child was proud of her parents when she was younger, she wasn’t always happy of her name, which means “love” in Albanian. Even though she is happy of her name now, she wished for a more popular name as a child. Her name made her feel unique compared to others.

She also experienced humiliation as a child because of her parents’ unusual appearance. When the lads and girls at school made comments about how attractive her mother and father were, she didn’t think it was funny.

Even as a small girl, she had a strong will and goals. She knew she wanted to be famous and thought living in Kosovo would keep her from reaching her dream.

When she sat them down, she informed her parents she wished to return to London one day. She explained that although her dream was to become a superstar, she knew she would never be able to fulfill it outside of a city like London. She chose to attend the Sylvia Young Theatre School on Saturdays because she wanted to be in the center of the action. She admitted:

“I didn’t think I could do this on a global scale as a resident of Kosovo.”

She pretended to be interested in studying English for her GCSEs and A-levels in order to gain admission to a prominent British institution, tricking her parents into allowing her to depart.

She went back to London, enrolled in the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and began creating demo tapes once her parents gave in. She subsequently uploaded these recordings to Soundcloud and YouTube.

Even though she may have led a carefree life in London, the girl knew that her parents trusted her, therefore she had to live up to their expectations. Her family friends were the only adults who watched over her while she was in London. She said, laughing, that she was the mother of her group of friends and that she was always responsible.

This obligation was paired by ambition. The girl decided she wanted to be a star and started talking to producers. When she found a lawyer, the lawyer told her not to sign the publishing deal. He then found her manager right now, which led to her being located.

When she was younger, she frequently gave performances for her friends and family, showcasing her passion of dancing, singing, and music. She discovered she had a natural talent when, at the age of nine, her singing teacher in London moved her into a class with teenagers.

At the time, Redman and Method Man were doing their debut concert in Kosovo, where hip-hop was very popular. Although Pink and Nelly Furtado hadn’t arrived yet, she still wanted to see them play in her hometown.

She finally brought the Sunny Hill Festival, which draws performers from all over the world, back to Kosovo after experiencing success. She wishes that this festival will be enjoyed for a very long time by the people in her hometown.

Her younger brother and sister both have similar passions for the entertainment industry. Her younger sister recently graduated from acting school, while her brother started performing music at the age of seventeen. In particular, the girl is incredibly proud of her parents. Once, she cried out,

“Every topic I discuss has origins in my early years. I witnessed people struggle while seeing my parents raise a family, work numerous jobs, adapt to any situation, and take night studies at the university. However, I also realized how lucky I am to be a British citizen and to have moved back to London to continue my career.

The child claimed that her mother had married her first love and first boyfriend, which was another reason why she found her parents’ relationship tough. She felt under pressure and thought that people assumed something was wrong with her because she was a single woman in her mid-20s.

But she realized that it’s okay to be self-centered and put yourself first before getting into a committed relationship or, for that matter, before having kids.

Who’s That Girl?

She couldn’t stand the name of the girl when she was younger, Dua Lipa. She broke several records and rose to fame as a pop performer in spite of all the adversities she faced as a child.

In March of last year, her song “Levitating” became the longest-charting Billboard Hot 100 hit ever. Her 2020 Thanksgiving weekend Studio 2054 webcast broke records as well, garnering over 5 million views and breaking the Guinness World Record for the most tickets sold for a live-streamed concert by a single female artist. Even after receiving approval to tour, she decided to broadcast again since she was having so much fun.
