With a daughter named Tallulah and twin sons named Darby and Sullivan, the married actor remarked of the honor, “Never give up on your dreams.”
Dempsey asserted that his family laughed when he told them about the prize and that the magazine painstakingly omits the winner’s name. He fired back, “You’re not authorized to discuss it at all.” Everyone signs non-disclosure agreements.
“You have to savor the occasion while it lasts—the year flies by,” Dempsey remarked thoughtfully after winning the award.
In the magazine piece, Dempsey conveyed his appreciation for “that this is happening now” in his life.
