Renowned for her parts in “Charmed” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Shannen Doherty is blogging about her battle with cancer. She talked candidly about her anxieties and the intense feelings she had in the run-up to her brain tumor surgery in January in a recent social media video.
Her caption for the video said, “I’m terrified, but I’m clearly trying to be brave.” “I was overcome with fear.” I was anxious about leaving my mother and how it would effect her, and I was scared of the worst-case situation. I was worried that after surgery, I wouldn’t be the same person. This is but one example of how cancer can manifest itself.
In an additional video that was posted earlier this year, Shannen Doherty said that on January 5th, a CT scan revealed that she had secondary brain cancer. She was fitted for the mask she will wear while undergoing radiation treatment to her brain in the video. It’s clear that I’m terrified. My life became quite hectic, and I started to feel very little,” she remarked. “I am fortunate to have access to amazing medical specialists like Dr. Amin Mirhadi and the wonderful personnel at Cedar Sinai. But cancer may really manifest its consequences amid all of this stress, fear, and chaos.
Shannen Doherty was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, marking the start of her battle with the disease. However, it eventually went into remission. She regrettably revealed in 2020 that the cancer had returned and progressed to stage 4. Her openness about her story never fails to highlight the challenges that cancer patients endure and the importance of compassion and support during these challenging times.
